McKinney Heights has some great amenities in our common area located at 6600 Baythorne.  All of these amenities are shared with our neighbors in Springfield Village HOA.  We have a large pool, splash pad, and pool house that includes a covered patio which can be reserved for special occasions during the pool season.  Also located in the common area is a walking trail, covered playgrounds, swing sets, basketball court, and pavilion.  You can find more information about each amenity below.

If you would like to reserve the pool patio or pavilion for an event you must submit a reservation request.

Pool

Pool use is limited to members of the McKinney Heights HOA, Springfield Village HOA, and their guests.  Each household is issued a pool keycard that allows access to the bathrooms located in the pool house all year long and the pool itself during the annual pool season.

2019 Pool Hours

Pool is currently open 9am-9pm Tuesday - Sunday. Will go to weekends only after Labor Day. Adult swim access still available early mornings Tuesday - Sunday.

Early Morning/Adult Only swim starts this weekend as well but will remain open during the week as well, every day except Monday.  5am-1pm.

*If a holiday falls on a Monday, the pool will be open Monday and closed Tuesday.  The pool is always closed one day a week for cleaning and maintenance. Please check the HOA-Blog regularly to keep up with any updates or emergency closures.

If you see any problems at the pool or have concerns, please report them to the HOA as soon as possible.  You can submit comments through this website by clicking here or by calling Jim Smitherman at (512) 502-2114 or (512) 900-6525

If you have not received a new pool keycard since the 2013 Pool Season, you will need to get a new keycard.  Due to previous issues with the card reader, a new system has been installed and brand new keys are being issued.

You will need to fill out and submit to Goodwin Management a waiver for your new key and if you choose, an option for Early Morning Swim access is included in that forms. You may apply through www.poolkey.com or by downloading the waiver and sending them into Goodwin Management.  The waivers can be found on the Documents page on this website or by clicking here for McKinney Heights residents or here for Springfield Village residents.  There is a limit of one pool key per household.

Park

The park area is open from 5am - 10pm everyday.  During this time residents are free to use and enjoy the park, though please be respectful of those around you and follow the rules.  Our security cameras located throughout the park are operational and monitored 24 hours a day.

No motorized vehicles are allowed in the park area. Unregistered vehicles such as dirtbikes, ATVs, UTVs, that aren’t registered, licensed, and insured are also illegal to drive throughout the neighborhood.

Our park is NOT an off leash dog park. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times. Please use the dog waste stations to remove all of your pet’s waste.

McKinney Heights HOA does have a Criminal Trespass Order on file with the Austin Police Department.  Anyone in the park after hours can be cited for trespassing.  If a vehicle is left in the parking lot after hours, your vehicle will be towed.

Pavilion

Located in the common area is a covered pavilion residents may use on a first come first serve basis unless another resident has reserved the pavilion.  Reservations can be made here.  You will also find guidelines for use of the pavilion on the Reservations page.
